(U)HP A Series - Pioneering ultra-high purity nitrogen solutions for high-end applications
Pure and precise - developed for your analyses
- Designed for laboratories with a nitrogen requirement of up to 2 l/min
- Uses advanced PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology and achieves 99.9995% nitrogen purity
- Integrated two-stage coalescence: particle filtration and activated carbon filter for maximum purity - Optional function: removal of hydrocarbons to less than 0.05 ppm
Why is hydrocarbon-free nitrogen important? A hydrocarbon separator significantly improves gas quality, which is especially important for GC analysis. The separator ensures ultra-pure output gas (99.9999% or 6.0 grade) with a residual moisture content of <0.05 ppm, ensuring reliable analysis. Impurities in gases can significantly affect the quality of GC results, leading to background noise, altered peak shapes, false positives, or reduced efficiency. The optional hydrocarbon separator actively counteracts these issues.
PSA Technology
Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) is the ideal method for high purity levels and is used in our (U)HP1A and (U)HP2A models. PSA separates nitrogen molecules from oxygen by adsorbing the oxygen from the compressed air stream onto a carbon molecular sieve. Efficient nitrogen separation ensures a reduced overall air requirement and guarantees the production of high-purity nitrogen, resulting in lower operating costs and a reduced carbon footprint. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the nitrogen generator can be installed under the workbench to save space.
